Hi, I’m Dave – a former sysadmin turned Penetration Tester. I primarily use this blog to post thoughts and lessons learned in regards to Information Security, as well as walkthroughs from vulnerable machines I’ve compromised. I have a passion for computers and this site serves as an outlet for me to write about my passion, as well as serve as an archive of sorts for problems that I may not encounter on a regular basis but want documented.

I am currently heading up a security consulting firm in Toronto called See One Security.

I have been working in IT (officially) since January 2009 and have primarily served as a Systems Administrators working in Windows, Linux and Apple environments. During my relatively short career I have been lucky enough to create, maintain and overhaul networks, systems and business processes all the while learning the business side to IT. I have a thirst for knowledge and continually work towards sharpening my skills and pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

When I’m not behind a computer, I enjoy :

  • Travelling
  • Drumming
  • Muay Thai
  • Home Brewing Beer
